Samsung Rogue..charger won't work but they were able to transfer numbers.

So, risked it, bought a phone on ebay. So far so good, go to charge it and the charger won't even recognize. I twisted, wiggled, blew, tried 4 different outlets. Nothing. But the guy at verizon was able to transfer phone numbers. So...this would indicate a bad charger and not a bad port,.....right?

Does it charge Via the USB cord????

 

Should have come with one as part of the charger...........
