We recently posted a link to our Idea Exchange on Facebook. We loved the response and feedback, and wanted to let you know what we’re doing about it.
We’ve gone through the comments, and identified some running themes. A lot of suggestions are along the lines of what we’ve been seeing on the Idea Exchange. Some ideas like, “make FiOS available in my area” and various set top box improvements are similar to ideas that have already been suggested in our community.
There are certainly a number of good ideas from Facebookwe want to consider. We’re posting new ideas from Facebook onto the Idea Exchange, with the first names of posters, and “from Facebook.” So be sure to take a look, discuss, and vote on these new ideas from Facebook.
We also wanted to take some time to give you some overall feedback on some of the general topics we saw on the Facebook post, and some of the ideas we see on a regular basis.
The first category and one we see a lot, is regarding FiOS availability in certain areas. You can always visit our website to see what products are available in your area, including FiOS.
We also see and welcome requests for certain channels. Our FiOS teams takes these requests into consideration as well, and we’re always working to expand our FiOS channel offerings. Right now the most popular channel request is for Fox Soccer HD. The FiOS team has said that the Fox Soccer channel is a high priority due to the demand. Currently, Fox Soccer Channel is #2 on the list with BET HD as #1.
A number of Facebook comments had to do with set top box recording space sizes. We are close to launching a number of solutions to expand DVR storage capacity. The next generation IMG 1.9 is coming soon. Several Facebook comments mentioned the option to hide channels not subscribed to. This is another idea we hear a lot, and is our second top voted idea. In IMG 1.9 you will be able to select a favorites list called "subscribed channels" that will automatically filter the guide views.
We appreciate the effort of the community to help make the Idea Exchange a success, and engage in a valid dialogue with Verizon about your ideas.
