Okay…so you’ve been saying that you want to know more about our members well here you go! Our moderation staff provided a random list of members and after years of ballet slippers and princess crowns in recent times (the last year and a half) I have been drawn to all things that bounce and go vrroooom!!
The first community member to be spotlighted is...nascar.
Nascar has been zipping along our community since our early days, September 2008 and is ranked at Bronze Contributor II.
I dusted off my investigative reporter notebook so I could learn more.
Nascar has been a Verizon FiOS Internet, FiOS TV, and Landline Customer since September 2008. As soon as the Quad Play came out (shortly after he signed up for FiOS) he bundled all four services together.
He is a very happy customer as noted from this direct quote below:
“FiOS TV has the best picture hands down. The Internet is fast and stable. The Land Line is what I am used to and expect. The Wireless has arguably the best coverage and variety of phone choice. Plus, there is terrific value for the money… My favorite things about FiOS are from the technology point of view. Verizon’s Multi Room DVR and crystal clear HD. I love how Verizon is a forward looking “can do” company that is always looking to deliver a better product. For me it is greater than FiOS alone but how Verizon has managed an image for perception to reality of delivering for its customers. “
I asked what it meant to be a “typical computer and electronics geek” as he self- proclaimed on a forums post. Nascar loves technology and being part of tests for all sorts of electronic gadgets and gizmos.
For over twenty years, he has been beta testing hardware from consumer electronics to software for many companies. Nascar has been on pre-release versions of the Verizon Interactive Media Guide. Nascar has tried out the new twitter widget on our Forums and has enjoyed tweeting directly with Verizon’s own Joe Ambeault with his own twitter handle ajrmjrcmr2. He doesn’t hesitate to comment when Joe and other authors blog at our Verizon at Home blog Verizon At Home Blog.
He is part of the Verizon Community because he "enjoys helping others and learning about new products and services before the general public. I love beta testing and having my hands on new stuff before it is released. The Verizon Community and specifically the At Home Blog get my boots as close to the ground with Verizon as I can (be). "
I am happy Verizon gives me an outlet to voice my opinions, comments, and concerns. It truly shows how Verizon is dedicated to making their products (FiOS) better!”
So I asked..."when you aren't trolling the boards...what does nascar do for fun? He immediately earned a kudos from me when he said spending time with his beautiful wife and two children. He coaches his son's baseball team and is preparing for his own team's ice hockey championship in Toronto, Canada.
