A friend recently told me about a customer of a security company that her brother works for. A customer had installed a home security system. Soon after in the middle of the night, the alarm went off.
The customer could do nothing to stop the alarm as he’d misplaced the manual, and the support center’s phone number was busy. This was, of course, very disappointing to his neighbors. Eventually, the issue got resolved but it would have been nice if there was a way he could have resolved this himself.

Customers now have a new tool called the “Verizon Troubleshooter” where they can diagnose, fix, and report issues with Verizon Phone, FiOS TV, or Internet service. With a few clicks of the mouse customers can solve most problems quickly and easily. All without picking up a phone.
