I'm on FIOS Internet 15/5 (http://www22.verizon.com/home/fiosinternet) and have received a letter this week that my rate is going to increase from 54.99 to 59.99 starting June 1.
I noticed new customers were being offered 1 year contracts at the same rate that I have currently, 54.99 - and that this is the standard offering, not any special promotion. I called customer service and they said there was nothing that they could do about it. I asked them whether they could give me a brand new 1 year contract @ 54.99, and if they couldn't do it, could anyone anywhere in Verizon do it. I was given a blanket no.
This seems a poor way of treating existing customers, does anyone have any advice? Are there key words I need to say to customer service for them to start treating me as a valued customer?
Thanks

See your privale mail envelope under the search button at the top right. Verizon may repond there.
