Actiontec MI424WR Gen3 Rev.I - Firmware 40.21.10.2

Greetings:

I contacted Actiontec for the official release date of Firmware 40.21.10.2. They indicated that it was released at end of October 2013. Does anyone know or have any experience when Verizon began updating its Users after they receive it from the MFg? Does Verizon release it a month later after certification tests? Was it mid- to late November perhaps?

According to Actiontec, they are only a hardware Mfg and that Verizon creates the Firmware. I was on Verizon Chat and they (Efrain) told me that Actiontec created the Firmware. My only concern is that I would like know what date my Router was upgraded to see if it coincides with an issue I am having. Thanks for looking!

I have 40.21.10.2 on my Actiontec Rev. I. I do not know for sure when my router was updated, I don't really pay any attention to that kind of stuff, but I just checked and the router says it has been active for 801 hours, 28 minutes, which is somewhere around 33 - 34 days. So early Nov. it appears for me.

What kind of issue are you having? I have a pretty simple setup - 3 STBs, 2 Ethernet connected PCs (1 via coax and NIM), 1 Android phone, 1 iPhone, and one Android tablet. But all work well.

Thanks for the reply! Can you tell me where to find that the number of hours of the router activity? That would be a great help!

I have a basic setup too.  My new problem, since I upgraded to this new `N' router 3 days ago, is all devices lose their connection about every 24 hours.  The router comes back on its own.  I cant say it rebooted because it has the same IP address, so it must lose the WAN connection from the outside.  Quite a coincidence.  Any one else experiencing this??

Sure. Log into the router, then click on the System Monitoring tab along the top row. The number of hours is displayed at the bottom of the list.

I checked the firmware on my router and it is 40.21.10.2. In the advanced section there is a firmware update button. Looks like it checks an actiontec page:

Thank you.

I have previously researched this area and it does in fact check or ping Actiontec to identify if the router is up-to-date but it provides no date as to when my router was actually updated.
