I have a detached garage and my current Verizon cable modem/router/WiFi base signal strength does not reach the garage. I have a co-ax cable going to the garage where I have hooked a TV. I have Verizon FiOS TV and Internet.
To achieve better WiFI internet coverage in the garage - I connected the Linksys Etherfast BEFCMU10 ver 3 to the coax in the garage. BUT it is not working!! Any ideas!!

The router and other devices on the Verizon system's coax, are not the same as a standard cable modem.
This item should work but only goes to from coax to Ethernet. You would need another router or wireless access point in your garage to provide wireless at that point. Or get another Verizon router.
