Apple TV/itunes radio problem

Until two days ago I could access the international/World radio stream through my Apple TV box or through itunes.  Now I can only access certain categories.  For the International/World or the Jazz or the News categories, I get the message:  "An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service.  Check your internet connection or try again later."  Other radio stations/categories are accessible, like the country category.  I am in Virginia; my brother in San Diego has no problem accessing those cites, so I suspect the problem is not with Apple, but with Verizon.  Any idea what the problem is?

I'm also interested in responses as I've noticed the same message at times with iTunes, although it's

not consistent and changes day to day.

Try using some different DNS Servers. Might be CDN troubles popping up or DNS issues with a CDN popping up.

I briefly tried that and no change - - might have to give it another try.
