Good day.

So, I decide try the FIOS Speedtest.  It's a good thing I have enough food and water, because it's been hours and the test hasn't started yet:

#1 What web browser are you using? For example Firefox

#2 What other add-ons are installed? For example No Script

#3 What was the URL that you used?

In addition what firewall and antivirus program are you running?

Just like the previous person, I get no results or progress when trying the speed test. I am using a recent iMac with the latest OS software and the browser is the latest Safari. I am getting very poor down load speeds. I spend more time waiting for a video clip to down load than it takes to show it.

If the Verizon Test will not work, try using this site's Network Diagnostic Tool: http://measurementlab.net/measurement-lab-tools#tool1

It runs the same types of tests the Verizon Speed test does (NDT), however it's not on the Verizon Network so it gives you a better look of "outside" traffic.

Some add-ons, only usefull ones, no bling.

Amazingly, it actually just performed a broadband speed test, it must have been on a siesta.

that link took me to a page that ran "speedtest.net mini" told me my speed was only 5/2. I went to the actual www.speedtest.net and ran the test again and I got 42/34

I'd test again at one of these sites

www.speedtest.net

www.verizon.net/speedtest

www.speakeasy.com/speedtest

and see how they look there.

Is that really a FiOS connection? If so, get that fixed ASAP.
