Can Verizon employees access my LAN?

At the end of a recent service call to Verizon support, the CSR tried to upsell me a faster internet service level that would require the purchase of a new router.  When I balked at having to buy the router, he pointed out that it had faster wireless, and said that it would provide better service to the "X" number of wireless devices that we are using with our current router; only he didn't say "X", he said the actual number of devices we have.

This made me wonder, just how far into my network can Verizon employees see?  I guess they can get the number of wireless devices connecting to the router from the router itself, because I can do that myself by logging in to the router's administrative pages, but can they see further than that?  Can they access shared folders on my devices?

No they can only see what devices are connected,   I Asked that once, and the guy had told me, he can see what's connected via that page, he doesn't see that page himself, its a diff format on his screen, but that's about all he can see.

Verizon can see the number of devices that are connected to the router.

They can only see as far as your router via their back door on the port forwarding rule 4567 that you see in the port forwarding settings on your router.
