I too spent the past two hours being transferred around to various departments unable to address this same issue.  I have an old mysite.verizon.net page that does NOT appear in sitebuilder and so I cannot unpublish it.  Is there someone available who can help unpublish this old page?

Of course the whole question is about to become mote, as they are going to be deleting everyones website.
