Fios Router Restarting!

Hi, I have been a Verizon customer for about 2 years and I have (with in the past few months) been encountering a problem with my router restarting. This is extremely annoying with the fact of playing games online and the internet just shutting off like it has nothing better to do. I have done everything for thing problem to stop, in fact, I am on my third router I have had them send me and the problem is still going on! My last opinion would to be to switch service providers if I can not permanently solve this! I don't know what is wrong and I would love some help to fix this! If anyone actually reads this and wants more info on what exactly happens, just say so. Thanks!

I have the exact same issue. I was told to be sure the router is not plugged into any type of power saving power strip. (I was on a "nornal" power strip + also tried plugging directly into the wall but neither helped).

If you could login to the router -- system monitoring- advanced - system logging - save log- (you should see system.log) rename it to system.txt and  post it as an attachment I am sure someone will figure it out. If It is long please edit out some if it or let us know the last day date and time it happended.

I assume you have the MI424WR REV I , if not the log may be in a different place.

Now I just got this router and its already started to restart, so far its only happened twice. I know it will happen more often than this but I am wondering if there is still a point to posting the log if nothing has really happened yet. If it will really help me and anyone else that has the same problem, I will but right now it seems point less.

When you were looking at your log did you use basic or advance? There is a button at the bottom of the log that toggles these 2, If you click advanced it will show up with the title of Advance log and  have more entries specifically the reboot command.

I did read others at DSLreports forum solved this issue by installing a new  3rd party router.
