Hello,
Just had Fios Triple Play Installed and the File and print sharing on my home network does not work anymore.
I am having a network problem. I use verizon FIOS . My desktop is plugged into the router, the home network (wired), and it is hosting file and print sharing (eg: I am wired into the printer, etc, and the rest of the computers, which are wirelessly connected, print, etc, through me). Lately, the other computers on the network have not been able to print through me or access my shared files on the network. everything is shared, and all the options in the network and sharing center are enabled correct.I was able to do this before with the comcast motorola surfboard modem/router. Can you direct me in the right direction for the proper router setting to allow lan network traffic from the wireless computers to the desktop computer that is hosting file and print sharing.

What Operating System is your Desktop PC and are you using a Firewall (Either Built In or 3rd Party) ?
Same for one of the laptops that is having problems seeing your shares.

If you are running Vista, you may need to go to the Network Connection and Sharing Center and set or customize your connection type. If it is set to public, you shares will not get through. Since you connection has changed to FIOS this may have been changed.

I have the same problem, but using windows xp on my computer as well as the laptops in the house.
The networked computers no longer show up in my network places, nor can I print from any of the laptops.
I followed the instructions re making sure that the correct boxes were checked in the internet and network protocols and they are all set.

I know that some users that were having the same problems just had to reset their router back to the default settings from the routers advanced settings. They didn't make any changes to their router but performing this step fixed their sharing problem.
