So I recently upgraded my services to include fios tv and the 35/35 fios internet (home phone as well). I noticed that whenever I have the tv on and i'm watching some hd programming, my internet begins to lag. Badly. It gets to the point where I feel like i'm on dial up.
I don't know if anyone else experiences this same problem, but I would very much like to hear from others. Whats the point of having both internet and tv when I can only ever use one of the other at a time. Help anyone?

Assuming you're not talking about HD VOD, there should be no interaction between the video signal and your internet connection. Every (non-VOD) channel is present at all times on the coax, whether you're watching it or not. Your internet connection and your video are delivered over different wavelengths on the fiber and over different frequencies on the coax.
If you can demonstrate this happening, you should have VZ dispatch a tech. This certainly not something that should be happening.

No problem here. I have a VOD HD movie on right now and can still test upload and download at 30/25. Router internet light is flashing like a strobe light, but no effect on my Internet access.

Does your TV have a built in wireless? Maybe something is transmitting from your TV that is causing interference with your wireless connection. Its a long shot but a thought.
