Four Macs on Fios Not Connecting

Ello!

I have three users whom are trying to connect to their work network via Viscosity. We (tech staff) have a test Mac that we also have tried to connect to their network via Viscosity. We have been unsuccessful. We have been able to connect all four Macs with Viscosity to the network on Comcast, Time Warner, At&T, and Verizon Wireless. The only connection Viscosity does not work on is Verizon Fios. Have you heard of this issue before? Is there some configuration we can try?

Thank you!

I'm assuming you are using Viscosity as a client on the FIOS connection.

Most VPN clients work just fine with FIOS.

Are the MACs connecting to the router with a wired or wireless connection?

If wireless, try a wired connection.

Does the Viscosity client require any inbound ports to be opened?

The FIOS router blocks all inbound connections by default.

Does the Viscosity client use UPNP or port triggering to expect ports to be opened?

What messages are you seeing in the Viscosity log?

Is it failing to connect or does it connect then drop out?

Is the host VPN subnet something other than 192.168.1.x?

The more you can tell us about what Viscosity is or is not doing, the more likely it is we might be able to help you.
