I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3050 with wireless connection capabilities. I am unable to get the modem "WIFI Setup" to light up and for the printer to recognize this wireless availability. All I am able to do is connect via USB to the printer to have it work. I have tried resetting the modem - to no avail. Any suggestions? I want this printer to be used by a MAC and a PC in our house.
What Wi-Fi Setup Light are you talking about? Is this a light-up button on your router or are you talking about the green button that lights up indicating the Wireless radio is active on the front?
You should be able to just have the printer scan for available networks, select your network, enter in your network key and it's connected. Using WPS (which I do not suggest using now that there's an exploit out for it) isn't really supported on the Verizon routers yet.
