High Latency in Philadelphia region?

Hello, anyone else having problems with slow loading times and high latency on their FiOS connections in the Philly area? I live in the suburbs (Drexel Hill, PA) and my internet connection is ridiculously slow. It's been like this for the past few hours and I tried rebooting the router many times and even tried resetting the factory default settings by holding the reset button on the back. My downloads speeds are actually normal. I checked out my speeds on Speedtest and everything is normal, it's just the latencies that are really high and browsing is a huge pain right now.

I'm trying to get in contact with Verizon's online chat tech support but I keep getting jumped around in line. First it said I had to wait about 36 mins, then 17 mins, then 16 mins, then 19 mins, then 12 mins and now 28 mins! I'm assuming because of the long wait, lots of other people in the southeast PA area is having the same problem as I am. Is Verizon's network slow today in this region? Please reply ASAP, because this is driving me insane.

What is the brand, model, and Version of your router?

For example: Actiontec, MI-424-WI, Rev C.

You can try changing the DNS address in your PC and see if that speeds things up.  Last night in the NY area it seemed very slow so once I used (4.2.2.1, or 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4) for DNS things seemed to move a lot quicker.  I resorted back to the VZ DNS servers today and all seems fine.
