How do I use the USB port on my FIOS modem to access my printer

I would like to make my HP Laserjet 3380  a network printer. I am using a MAC running OSX 10.7 (LION) I connect the printer but it doesn't show up  anywhere and I cannot acces it?? My FIOS modem has a USB port. Any suggestions?

The USB port on the router is not active. 

 

However, it does have power and can be used as a charger for your cell phone or other USB device.

You probably need to go purchase a Wireless or Wired Print Server.
