Could yall keep your site up to date please?:

http://www22.verizon.com/about/community/va/technology/va_construction.html

That site used to show the next two months construction... until it got ignored.  I started following it religiously when you guys stopped installing Fios ONE STREET BEFORE MINE (RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE) and moved to another part of the county.  Atleast keep it up to date while I hope you guys finish our nice neighborhood and stop installing over by the trailer park. 😛

Thanks.

Looks like Verizon has put a halt to expansion. If you don't have it now, you're not getting it.

We've personally noticed that the company has slowed down the rate at which it blasts out releases trumpeting new FiOS and FiOS TV markets, and now we know why: an Associated Press report notes that the operator has canned all public plans about expanding its FTTH home network, though it will continue to build-out where it had previously announced service (Washington, D.C., New York City and Philadelphia, namely). Of course, Verizon never stated that it would be making FiOS a nationwide service, but after hitting at least some sections of 18 states, we had high hopes that it would keep on keepin' on. Unfortunately, it looks like you'll be forced to move to FiOS-heavy Massachusetts, or simply gaze endlessly from your apartment window knowing that you'll never feel the warm glow of a FiOS wire. Sniffle.

It sounds like this post would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. People from your neighborhood may have already expressed interest in getting the service. If they have, make sure to vote  for it so Verizon can see how popular an issue it is. If not, please add a new idea so your fellow community members can comment and vote on your suggestion. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-Idea-Exchange/ct-p/ideaexchange . The Verizon Idea Exchange is there for you to submit your ideas and suggestions to Verizon so that we can consider them as we innovate our products and services.
