In order to communicate between the vonage side and the actiontec side you would need to disable firewall on the vonage device and set up routing tables between both devices. The actiontec will need to know about the vonage network and the vonage device will need to know about the actiontec network. For only a single port device this is hardly worth it. Like the previous poster suggested purchase a switch (not a router but a switch) and then you can add additional devices without issue.

I was going to ask what you meant by it being problematic with "reserves", but jumpin68ny seemed to clarify the steps I would need to take to do this without a switch.

That was a typo .. I meant "reverse". Sounds like you're going down the switch route which is absolutely the easiest solution to your specific situation based on the information you've provided.
