Inbound VPN?

Has anyone successfully created an inbound VPN with the Actiontec M1424WR without killing the On-screen Caller ID, and the Remote access to the DVR?

I created the incoming connection in Windows 7, and I created port forwarding rules that will successfully connect to the VPN from away from home.

My problem is, that when you add any port forwarding rules, they disable the On-screen Caller ID and the remote access to the DVR.

Verizon says that they don't support advanced configurations, and Actiontec is of the opinion that the default settings from Verizon create a duplicate forwarding rule which will block the conflicted ports, so they say they can't help.

Has anybody had any success?
