Internet and phone service disappeared this morning in Westford MA. Anybody else in tha area having issues?
First time I ever tried to use some of the support functions on the Verizon web site - now I see why so many people come to the forums instead!!!!.
Logged on using account and then requested trouble shooting our phone line via the automated method. Web site says using diagnostic services to test line, may take 2 minutes and a little bar that was moving showing activity. After 5 minutes the bar disappeared and nothing happened, no report nothing.
Then tried live char reporting telephone isuue with no dial tone. Chat window comes up says I am next in queue wait time 1min 1 sec. After 10 mins nothing had happened so I cancelled the chat.
Retried the chat, recived message that live chat services were unavailable
Hopefully we don't have a fire or police issue while this goes on.
Do We get a rebate on service charges for this outage.
Called the support number and they said there is an outage and we would have no phone, internet or TV service until 12.59am Thursday. All very odd, no storms, no wind, sun is shining and TV works just fine.

Sorry for the troubles with the service. Are you still having troubles with the service? We can assist with the troubles you are having.

No, after about 8 hours somebody decided to turn the whole town on again. Odd that TV service still ran even though there was no telephone or internet, I'd have thought they all came down the fiber the same way but I guess not - I would guess that pay tv services etc weren't working however I didn't have the luxury of checking that out as, since I normally work from home, I had to travel 30 odd miles to a site which did have connectivity.
