Apple says I need to disable my passcode for my internet service.  She says it will allow me to connect to my wi-fi easier...

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

When I go to wi-fi I get many networks...if I click on mine - unable to connect but if I click on anyone elses it asks for the passcode...

I have been at this for hours!

Apple says call Verizon and Verizon says call Apple - I have done this now 3 different times

Please help me!

you need to get the WEP Key code from the sticker on your router and remember that all apple products use lower-case letters in the passcode (WEP KEY), and use zero's ( 0 ), not capital O.    Then you may need to, instead of just trying to connect to your network, go to 'create a new network' and enter all info there to build the new connection, remembering that you are using dhcp.   Or you may be able to, after clicking on your network, find out how to enter your security code (WEP KEY) (passcode).

If you disable your passcode then anybody can use your wireless network
