Can we move our FIOS equipment from the wall into a media cabinet? We want the cabinet to sit flush with the wall so just need to move the FIOS equipment a short ways off the wall and into the cabinet with the cords coming out the back of the cupboard to plug in the same outlet. It is screwed into the wall at the moment
Can we do this ourselves or do we need to get a Verizon technician? (We only have FiberOptics Internet service, nothing else)

DVR.STB. and routers, No problem. ONT's battery supply, etc., probably best you don't touch them, although some have moved them.

Not clear what you mean by "Fios equipment".
As TNS_2 said, if you mean the router. No problem.
Optical Network Terminal (ONT) should not be moved by the customer.
