Thiose are very low speeds, first you should connect wired to verify the speeds you are getting and are you using the speed test you can find on the VZ in-home agent ?
I have the G1100 router and i can get the full 150 down wirelessly, my phone will varies greatly.
You only need the new router for speeds over 75 mbps. I actually now use the Netgear ac3200 nighthawk router for the
wireless since they have 3 bands with higher speeds and a guest wifi and my fios router handles moca and dhcp.
Is it possible your ethernet cable from the ont has too much of a bend ?

Should say my service tanked not ranked. Speeds went from 4mbps up 8mbps down on my PS3 to 1mbps down and .500mbps up.
I assume you meant 500kbps up. Mine only gets 300kbps up
The PS3 does wireless 802.11G only Its never been very fast. But something has happened, probably in the ps3 world, that gets these slower speeds. I have not changed my Own router which I use for wireless access.

I just got mine and am dissapointed . Its going back. It 's slower than the one I have now ( Actiontec m14w424 ) and I was really agrivated that it has less range. I'll stick with old faithful until I see some more info once they start to get into circulation.
I'm not dissapointed in the unit I have now I just thought I'd upgrade with the latest and greatest. so much for that !

I had an issue with the signal when I first got mine and it didn't configure correctly. A hard reset fixed it.
If you are having issues with it the best thing to do as a first step is hard reset it. Stick something in the reset button on back for a few seconds and let it reboot up. Reset it up and see if that fixes it.

Just installed my fios quantum gateway a couple of weeks ago. speeds did not go up drastically. coverage seems a bit worse than my MI424WR. This past weekend an automatic update was installed which disconnected my PS3 wireless ethernet adapter (to allow for N on 5MHz). And also the wireless light is constantly flashing now.
I was just checking my webspeeds and instead of 50 Mbps download, I was receiving 3-4 Mbps. My upload was about 20 Mbps. I just did a soft reset (pulled the power for a couple of minutes). Now the wireless speed is back up to 50 Mbps.
I had already performed a soft reset this past weekend to try to rid myself of the flashing wireless light. However, that didn't work. Before their automatic update, the wireless light stayed on constantly. It would only flash if I was trying to connect a device via the WPS.
The soft resets don't seem to bother the PS3 connection. It is able to reconnect right away. However, whatever the automatic update did forced me to reconnect my ps3 adapter and reset the password.
Not sure what is happening, but so far this quantum gateway is underperforming and causing pains I never had with my MI424WR.

I just installed the Quantum gateway router yesterday and am having the same problems as most on this board.
My wireless speeds have been cut to a crawl and the range is not better, but worse.
Is there any way to fix this with software update? If not it's going back. For $199. I thought it would have been better than the red and black box with the two external antennas. Is there an external high gain antenna for this?

The issue is that ac wifi signal doesn't pass thru walls very well. So knowck the wall down or move the router into the room the device is or the device into the room wher the router is.
