I recently upgraded to Office 2010 and have had nothing but problems with Outlook 2010 compatibility with FIOS. The Verizon Internet Help agent did a "Go to Meeting" with my PC made some adjustment that he did not explain to make the email work. Now I cannot send more than one email at a time without closing Outlook and re-opening it. I cannot just hit reply and reply to an email, etc. Essentially all the basis functions are fraught with problems and sending email is a nightmare.
Anyone have this problem and how did you correct it.? Office 2010 with Outlook was a hefty $ amount compared to Office w/o Outlook so please don't tell me that I have to abandon Outlook 2010.
Thanks.

What the tech probably did in his Remote Desktop session was configure Outlook to use alternate SMTP ports. Port 25 outbound is blocked on Verizon's network to combat spam for Residential accounts. As for the second problem, what does Outlook do when you attempt to send more than one message? Lock up?
