I have been trying to convince my landlord for months to get Fios in the building. Here is a recent email exchange with him. Does anyone know if any of this is true, about the install damages? If it is true, then Verizon needs to get their act together!
Here is the email exchange.

I am sorry but we have no plans to let Verizon in to this building. They do
a lot of damage to the building and do not make the repairs after or pay for
any damages they do.
Thanks,
Steven

Subject: Question
Hey Steve,
Could you please do me a favor and speak with the building owner once again
about Fios? I know you mentioned he wasn't to keen on the idea of them
doing the install but it would really make a big difference. As of right
now my iPad's cellular connected internet is faster for $30/mo than the
$120/mo I'm paying Time Warner. On top of that, I can't even watch HD
movies on demand. I've had TWC out here twice in the last four months and
every time they claim nothing is wrong. Its very frustrating. I'll do
almost anything I can to assist in this. Please let me know if you can do
anything.
Thank you as always!

Not sure what he's talking about. VZ installed FiOS in my building (24-unit condo bldg) and there was no damage anywhere. To be fair, they gave us FiOS-lite -- an MDU ONT in the basement with internet to each unit over VDSL2. There was no damage to the building. Maybe there is something unique about your building? Perhaps he's referring to the damage caused by running fiber microduct into each unit. I'd ask him to be more specific about the damage he's referring to then post back here.
You might also want to give dslreports.com a try (though the site is down atm). There are many knowledgeable people over there as well.

I have spoken with him many times. What I want is for someone from VZ to contact him directly and give him a better explanation of what goes on during installation. Typically Verizon just has a sales person call and offer them Fios in the building and knows virtually nothing about the install process (although they claim they do, I know for a fact most don't). So what I think needs to happen is someone from Verizon who is actually knowledgable needs to call or email him and explain to him what happens during an install. I would prefer if it was upper management to be honest. If VZ isn't persistant about this then I don't feel they want the business all that bad.

You should make the inquiry here, these are the guys that set up Verizon Condo's/apartments and they will be better suited to answer those kind of questions.

If your landlord doesn't want FIOS in the building, then it's not going to happen.
Vote with your wallet and move.

+1
Perhaps your landlord should find some examples of some FiOS installations in other MDUs. From what I've seen what has been posted online, the installs are very neat and well done. They fish what they can and re-use what they can. If the Landlord wants minimal damage, he'll have to go with the crappy VDSL installs. Proper installation would be a Microduct Fiber install to each unit.
