I am a new Fios TV subscriber (have Fios Internet 2 years now). The ONT is connected to my own router via Ethernet. The FIOS tecnician said I need the Actiontec router for the TV service. I reconfigured the Actiontec router with my own IP subnet and connected it to my existing router using one of the LAN port (Bridging). The technician connected a coax cable to the Actiontec router. If it matters I am using 10.10.1.x/24 for my subnet. I have one multi-room DVR and two standard receivers all which have full functionality.
I signed up for remote DVR two days ago and the disclaimer said my Actiontec Router must be in the default configuration. This morning I received a noticed from VZ indicating my Actiontec router needs to be factory reset.
Does the Actiontec Router need to be the Internet facing router for this to work? How can I get remote DVR using my own Internet router?
Thanks, Jim
