Server errors

We are getting server errors which keep us off the home page and E mail very frequently.  Support agents usually are unaware of the problem so they are little help.  Maybe, Verizon should go back to the old home page which seems to work.  Our contract expires in October and we are seriously contemplating going back to comcast which was a wee bit better.

Re: Server errors

What browser are you using?  Which web site are you going to where you are getting these errors?  I don't have any issues so I wonder if you are having a browser problem.  Try clearing our your browser history, temp files and cookies.  Attempt it again.  Try a different broswer (IE, Chrome, Firefox).

Re: Server errors

It's Verizon. They even post at times a message that says sorry for your inconvenience ,try later. I always  clear my history ,temp files, cookies. I don't wish to change my browser. Verizon will need to change whatever they're doing wrong. Because you are not having a problem doesn't mean we are having a problem because we're not doing something correctly. We get all other websites. It's the Verizon Home Page we can't get and sometimes the email page. Most of the time we  can get our email via the Verizon Webmail page. We are in Baltimore County Md.

V* has never been very good about communicating. Their website error messages, often times, are either not very accurate or very misleading.

I've also found that often when I get errors with IE8, Firefox will work perfectly fine.

Try changing from webmail to a pop3 server interface such as outlook express, livemail or the like and see if it still happens.  I very rarely see any mail service interruptions.

What is the url for the server page that you are seeing interruptions on? - this sounds like some kind of dns issue.
