Did any of you get the activation fee ($29.99) waived while upgrading from DSL to FIOS Internet? I live in Eastern MA. Verizon claims the fee can be waived on its web site, but I couldn't get this charge off the final sign up page.

There doesn't seem to be anyway to prevent the activation fee from being charged, however when you get the bill, you can call billing, and they will credit it out for you.

At least that's what they did for me a few weeks ago. I am in Pennsylvania.
