What can I say? I have been on hold currently for 45 minutes and counting. All do the simple fact the internet will not connect with my modem. Being in the software industry I already have done all of the trouble shooting I need to and need a support representative to check the connection on their end. Of course I have waited on the phone line for such a long time it is becoming hilarious. Verizon should not laugh at these matters because it's moments like this when i think what is going to happen when Google Fiber makes its way here in my area? Is there a reason for me to stay with Verizon? This wait does not justify customer retention.

MOdem.  WHat modem?  FIos doesn't use one.

You are talking to peers here.  And 45 minutes means they lost you or you are on a queue that does only Business hours.
