Hi,  I am going to install Windows 7 over XP.  I need to do a clean install and wipe out everything.  How do I reinstall the Verizon settings so I can get back online?  Thanks.

Should be plug and play. When you connect your Windows 7 machine to the router it will get an IP address just like before. You will need to setup your Email client and what ever other software you may have been using with FIOS. I would back up what ever files you want on the machine with Windows 7. Email directory for your mail client and so on. Verizon In Home Agent if you so desire. I am not familiar with that in Windows 7. I ran Win 7 beta but have enjoyed Vista with no issues..

Read this thread regarding Windows 7 64 bit and Verizon in home Agent. I would not install any 32 bit O.S. if I was upgrading, and some software such as In home agent, has issues with 64 bit. Unsigned drivers or porly written code perhaps. I have not had any need for any software other then MSN from my DSL days, Verizon Call Assistant, which both run fine under Vista 64 and should under Win7.

There's really no "Verizon settings" that exist. The only thing you might want to do it re-install any add-on software, like the In Home Agent or Media Manager, or the Verizon Security Suite, if you subscribe to that. An internet connection is an internet connection to a computer; whether it comes from FiOS or Comcast or whoever, it doesn't really care. Everything that determinse whether or internet connection works or not is in your router, which is unaffected by whatever computers are connected to it.
