Upgraded to the 75/35 FiOS Internet Plan but Still Running at 25/25...?

After almost 2 hours w/Verizon customer service and FiOS technical support, it appears there doesn't seem to be a solution to getting my provisioned internet speed up to 75/35.  I'm stuck at 25/25, even after running an optimizer on a wired connection.  I'd still love to get the higher speeds, but no one at Verizon seems to care if I do.  Any assistance is appreciated.

I did do a hardwire test, and confirmed that I'm running at 75/35.  I'm using the Verizon Actiontec router, and what I've noticed is that the speeds on my wireless devices (i.e. iPads; Android phone) have topped off at/around 25, but they're all running at 25 at the same time.  The additional speed seems to have ensure a consistent speed among all of the wireless devices.

Of course it may be they need a little more time to provision your service.

Sometimes a visit to your local Verizon (not wireless) store and explaining your situation can

convince them to get it expedited. We've had the best service going direct through our local

   Verizon store.

   Good luck!

If the VZ reps confirmed that you were upgraded, and you can see it reflect that when you sign in at verizon.net and look at your internet plan, then you should try the following

  1. make sure your hardwired when testing
  2. test @ http://speedtest.verizon.com/fios300/
  3. After it's done, click on analysis and copy and paste those results here.

My experience has been pretty bad in terms of Verizon FiOS Does NOT really work at 75/35 MBPS that they promise.

  •  The wireless router they gave (even on the second visit only offers G frequency and NOT N), which I specifically called to replace..The router looked different, but it doesnt say nothing on the router about if its g or N

  • I bet your speed test connected via speedtest.verizon.net VS. speedtest.net yields different results, also huge difference wired vs wireless.
  • The computer needs Verizon speed optimizer software for it to boost up the speed test results via their site.
  • I have even tried downgrading to a lower speed service, but they offer only $10 discount and NOT the quantum speed
  • I even cancelled the service and got a conf. code within the month from the rep, but they never cancelled it really.
  • Pretty bad customer service.
  • Now stuck with a 2 year contract, what else can I do? Just biting the bullet.Do we have a choice?

Good luck fellas!
