What VZ is conveniently forgetting to mention is that, previously, with VZ Fios w/MSN, McAfee was included for free with the MSN. Now, VZ is withdrawing from MSN, and offering an "upgrade" to its own McAfee powered security suite, but no where is VZ telling you that VISS is only available for an ADDITIONAL charge of $5.99/month.
So, in effect, VZ is trying to raise subscriber's monthly bill by $5.99/month, without even having the honesty to be upfront about it.
This, just two weeks after VZ's disastrous attempt to start charging customers for the "convenience" of paying their bills on line. At least, that time, VZ was honest and forthright about the attempt.
There are plenty of free security suites out there, offering pretty much the same protection as the McAfee Suite.
VZ can take its "upgrade" and shove it, as far as I'm concerned.
