Hello I have had Verizon Fios for about a year and the past couple of weeks my ping has been going up and down constantly from 60-200 ping. Anyone know what maybe the cause of this?

Can you perform a Traceroute for us and post it up? Run it during a time where the problem is occurring. Ideally, if your PC is running on Wireless, run it both from a Wired and Wireless connection so we can rule problems with the Wireless out of the equation.

Do your speeds during the time of high latency decrease? Have you ensured no one else is using the network during times of elevated ping? It's worthwhile to double check especially Wireless connections, since the default WEP key on the Verizon routers tends to be easily calculated and obtained with a bit of Google searching. Log into the router at http://192.168.1.1/ using the Username of admin and the Password being your router's Serial Number (unless you've changed it then log in with your changed password). Keep in mind the password is Case Sensitive! Once logged in, check the Network Map for devices that do not belong to you. The names of the devices can help, but MAC address is the best way to go since it most uniquely identifies devices.
If you are unable to log into the router, give it a Factory Reset. Log into 192.168.1.1 once the router reboots and set a new password. Visit the Wireless settings, disable WEP Security and enable WPA2-PSK AES security for the wireless. Set a strong key for the Passphrase, apply the settings, and then configure any wireless devices in your home to use the new settings you have set up.

How about upload? Does that also remain the same? I'm having trouble trying to see where the issue may be with latency if the download speed remains the same.
