Verizon to Level(3) peering issues?

As of roughly 30 minutes ago, I am unable to reach a Level(3) advertised prefix from Chicago;

below is where my traceroute dies:

0.so-3-1-0.xt2.nyc9.alter.net (152.63.10.45)

trying to reach 8.18.85.0/24

anyone else seeing this?

Maybe not much help, but at least you know it's working outside of your connection.

Re: Verizon to Level(3) peering issues?

I have a roku box and bomtv channel on it and it is having trouble with the connection. It keeps stopping and reloading very slowly.

Re: Verizon to Level(3) peering issues?

[ Edited ]

The announcement could have come from Level3 or Internap. For Verizon "UUNET/ALTERNET" the BGP announcement comes from Internap at the moment, at least for my area. Level3 may have been in the mix earlier, though. I can route to that subnet without a problem at the moment.
