When the phone rings, Wifi drops out momentarily and later gets reconnected. I'm not sure how long it takes to reconnect.
This happens after the first ring, before we pick up or allow the call to go to autoanswer. So it probably is not related to the cordless phone (which runs at 5.8 GHz), right?
Caller ID is set up to display on the TV. Does the caller ID app interere with Wifi?
Thanks,
Harvey

Most likely is the cordless. Can you unplug the power to the cordless temporarily and do a test call to see if wifi still cuts out.

You'll find a ton of phones run at 2.4Ghz, not 5.8Ghz solely due to the range 2.4Ghz gives. A lot of those newer "DECT xx "phones you'll find can also run at 1.8Ghz which should not cause a problem, but they still do at times. Not saying there aren't 5Ghz phones out there though! If you're using a dual band router, that may very well be the case.
