I switched to Verizon Fios 6 months ago. I love the TV/DVR service, but I HATE the internet service. I cannot wait to go back to cable!!! With Cable service I had access to their public wifi... there is no such thing with FIOS. So my devices do not work outside of my home. Does anyone know if Verizion is attmepting to fix this problem and have service like cablevision does, where you have public access to the internet outside of your home?
Cablevision did do something right and I wish VZ would do the same. I did get around that by asking for my relatives to create an email address on their opt account and now I have access to the wifi around LI.
I can also use the free newsday app on my iphone, def. not worth paying for but I like the local news
