Wired Desktop Internet connection issues.

I recently upgraded from Verizon DSL(High Speed Internet ) to Fios. I am able to connect to internet via wireless on laptop and cell phone. Everything is plugged in to desktop but it won't connect to internet. Gives me a Unidentified Network error. I have restarted computer and router. Still the same thing. Everything was working fine with DSL High Speed before install.

What OS?  Can you log into the router from the wired PC as well as wireless?  Have you checked the assigned IP address?

Re: Wired Desktop Internet connection issues.

Make sure you are set up for DHCP in your PC

Make sure you are plugged into a LAN port.  Lan ports are YELLOW on the verizon router, and are numbered.  1, 2, 3, and 4.  do not plug into WAN.

Then do these two things, and see where your problem is and let us know.

Re: Wired Desktop Internet connection issues.

I had same problem connecting via wire.  Went into device manager and disabled (NOT deleted or removed) the wireless adapter and everything has been great since.
