Wireless conectivity in my home

We have a 4 story townhome and our verizon modem is on the main level. I have one teenager on the very top floor and one in the basement. They can connect to the network from laptops and video gaming systems but the signal is always dropped and very weak. What are some solutions that would correct this problem? Thanks.

Add a Wireless N Router or Access Point to you rexisting FIOS router.  See this message thread for ways to do this:

You will need to ensure your wireless devices (PC's, game consoles, etc.) can receive Wireless N and not just Wireless G.  Most newere devices can do this.  N is 4 times stronger and somerthing like 10 times faster than G.

Do you have fios tv?  Is there a cable outlet in the upstairs and basement?  If so, you can purchase a MOCA router and install one at each place.
