hi all:
my dynamic dns updates were working until i upgraded the firmware to 40.21.10.3. now suddenly the updates of dynamic dns (dyndns.org) is no longer working. since the updates use ssl, i assume it is due to the failures of exchanging certificates between the router and dynmaic dns side.
i am thinking about to revert the firmware version to verizon sactioned version but i don't know where to dowanload (should be on verizon web site). callrf verizon numerious times and those "technicians" even "lead technicians" of veriozon helpdesk had no clue what i was talking about (sounded those guys do their jobs by flipping manuals).
thanks for help.

? 40.21.10.3? Thats been the version for awhile. THe latest, just beginning rollout is 40.21.18.xx . It supposively fixes the dynamic DNS.
If you want to it is possible to roll back to older versions.

My dyndns stopped working months ago after heartbleed
http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/Dynamic-DNS-not-working/m-p/695470/highlight/true#M47119
I just stopped using it. My IP hasn't changed since that problem started. I just stopped using the service since it isnt much of a bother to update a couple thing which I haven't had to do in about 6 months. You should look into their update client.
Tech support isnt going to give you old firmware for the router. If this was possible it definitely wouldn't be handled by the rep on the phone.
You can get a replacement router. If you get a replacement router that hasnt been on the network to get the update, then it would have the old firmware on it. Your problem would then become stopping it from updating as soon as you connect it to service.

Just load the downloadable dyndns client on one of your machines instead of tryying to use the router to do the update.

Verizon doesn't have anything posted online with respect to current firmware. If you have the gen2 and older then you can download that firmware from their website @http://www2.verizon.net/micro/fios_router_update/ but anything newer than those models, they won't post and I don't know why.
