Yesterday my router (rev. I) got a new firmware 40.21.18. Since that moment the only way to have any connectivity wthin my local network is to disconnect my TRENDnet TEG-S82g switch from the router. It worked just fine with previous firmware 40.21.10.3 Any ideas what could be the reason for this strage problem ?

even with 40.21.18 installed - Firmware Upgrade -> Check Now --> still displays:
Status: OK
Internet Version: Old Wireless Broadband Router version 40.21.10.3 found
One thing they fixed for sure in 40.21.18 - DynDNS is working again.
Problem with switch is resolved after yet another power cycling.

That's interesting - I have the same router and it says 40.21.10.3 is the current firmware version. Perhaps the updates are rolled out geographically - I'm in Califfornia.
Is there any info about what the new version is supposed to do?

I'm still haven't been upgraded or could I force and upgrade.
Would like it to happen so I can get DynDNS working. since it has stopped working I am always concerned that I will be traveling and my public IP will change while traveling and I won't be able to get into my FTP server.

FWIW, I too am still on v4.21.10.3 and can't force an upgrade.
I'd be curious to hear if anyone else, besides the OP, has seen the 4.21.18 upgrade.

I see I just got the upgrade too, and that even though I have "Automatic Check Disabled."
All seems well with the new firmware though. So far.

Me too - Auto Update disabled but I'm now on 40.21.18 also.
Maybe there really is such a thing as magic.

I got the updated firmware yesterday and I am now able to update DynamicDNS.
One other feature I see that should reduce questions on the forum is there is now a box to check which allows you to see your router password as you type it in.
So far haven't noticed any other changes, but other than Verizon busting DynamicDNS on the previous update I have never had any problems with my Actiontec.
