intermittent wifi and terrible customer support

Have had nothing but problems on deciding to go with Verizon instead of twc. Initially took nearly two months to get installed correctly and since then WiFi mysteriously in working one day and not another. Waiting on another visit today, more vacation time wasted only for the service agent missing the 4 hour window without so much as a call. Of course none of us work and can sit around all day waiting for a service to get fixed that we pay for working or not. Verizon customer support equally did not seem to care about anything other than closing down a call.
Anyone have suggestions on good providers and how to proceed on reclaiming monies paid for lack of service.

Test it wired to determine if you have a wifi issue or internet coming into the house issue.

If it is just wifi, buy your own router.  A lot simpler than swaping companies.  If you do swap, avoid Comcast, they are even worse when it comes to customer support.
