Exchanging DVR: What happens to reccorded shows?

I have some shows recorded on my DVR.  Some of them will play, others will not.   Verizon needs to replace my DVR box.  What happens to those recorded shows? I suspect that the answer is that I will lose them all.  I also have the recorder set to tape certain shows, will I lose this too?  If so, is there a way to save the recordings?

Say goodbye to the recordings. At present there is no method for tansferring recordings or your series settings.

Keyboards is correct, you will need to set-up all your automatic recordings again and everything you currently have saved will be gone. There is no way to transfer the contents of your current DVR on to the new one.
