FiOS TV Programming

The service was running expensive as it was, now they're taking away channels from it, more importantly one that I watch and DVR on a regular basis. I'm probably going to consider reducing my subscription or canceling TV altogether if this keeps up. This is the only channel that does anime 24/7. Maybe cancel a channel that does what 3 or 4 other channels do?

A sickening thought comes to mind.....

I know some of you are big into Anime, and you may be a member on some other forums, Facebook, Twitter/etc. If you are, please show and ask others to show support for Funimation, even if they don't have Verizon FiOS. 

Loosing the FiOS subscribers could mean that Funimation looses enough viewers that the channel itself won't survive. Then ALL of us will be out of luck.

Well,

I have been watching funimation and now see a crawl stating that they were caught by surprise at this sudden notice and are duscussing their options to maintian their presence on verizons platform.

Who's going to blink?

I just got off the phone with verizon and spent about 10 minutes taklking to one the customer reps. They admit that they are now looking at opening negotiations. He mentioned the tennis channel. It was cancelled, but was brought back after 3 months. The kicker is, it came back on a different tier/package. Probably more expensive.

They did offer me discount if I renewed for 24 months!

The final advise was to keep watching and if it does go offline, give them time to see if it will come back.

Seriously, Funimation is one of the main reasons i dropped cablevision on long island. This is totally wrong. As a huge anime fan this will really stink. Please find a way to keep them

Wow.  Way to go, Verizon.  Take away one of the only channels I watch.  I hardly even watch tv because of internet - the Fios triple play deal was a good one, but maybe I should just use my TMobile cell phone and get just an internet plan from somebody else, because seriously, if I sign up for these channels, I WANT these channels, and not an any extra cost to keep 'em nevermind lose them entirely.  If you want to add channels, whatever floats yer boat, but don't take my channels away, Verizon!  Seriously!  That's not what we pay for.

Very true, we go out of our way to pay for these extra channels, it's not like they're in a basic plan or anything. It's like paying for the DVR and having someone put a smaller hard drive in while you're asleep.

Please don't get rid of funimation definitely one of the few channels I was glad verizon offered.

Oh please no....  What terrible news.  This is my FAVORITE channel on the Verizon network -- especially at night, with all their great MA programs!  Please settle...  I really don't want to shut off my FiOS and load up Netflix!

Are you people (I mean Verizon) out of your FREAKING MINDS!! of all the Crap channels with little to NO viewers, and you decide to canel funimation? It is a HUGE reason for me continuing my service plan with fios TV, if ANYTHING! you should be adding more anime network channels! Please do not make this mistake, I will surely look into other providers if you begin canceling the channels I watch regularly...what next SciFi? maybe instead you guys should figure out how channels like bridges EVER got its own channel in the FIRST PLACE!

Please, DO NOT cancel Funimation 262, add an HD version!

I too love the funimation channel.  I usually never go a night without tuning to that channel.  It was definitely one of the perks to having verizon fios and I'll be deeply saddened if this channel is dropped! Make a way Verizon... Keep the funimation channel on the air.
