I'm seriously considering switching. Verizon, I have funimation on in my house over 6 hours a day. It's my go-to channel for any time none of my other favorite programs are on. If you cancel the channel then why don't you cancel TCM and Science while you're at it. I mean, really, the variety is what I pay for and losing 1/3 of my interests is not in my interest.
Funimation Channel was one of the principle reasons why I have their TV PLAN. As an ANIME fan my self it was always a very welcome site to see this channel carried on Verizon. I strongly dislike Comcast but if the channel is dropped as scheduled on March 15th I will be switching back to Comcast/Xfinity.
This really is very very disappointing. Like other people have said I got verizon FOR this channel.I really don't understand how this works but there has to be a lot of other channels with "low" veiwership that are not shut down.The way I see it is that verizon is pretty much saying the people who watch this channel aren't worth what it cost to keep it up.So if they loose anyone from shutting this down it's not gonna matter.
Verizon at least work with funimation to come up with something that can work for everybody.At least try to show us you give a **bleep** about the "other" customers.
What gives?? Funimation channel was a good selling point for me to even keep Verizon Fios. Surely it's get's more viewers than the anime network VOD service they offer. Its also a reason a i upgraded my tv package to get that channel. It's definetly a deal breaker if they drop it. I'd be willing to pay for it as a premium channel if they add the HD feed and also bring a Funimation VOD service!!!
There are so many of the same type of channels on Fios, but only one that has Anime. I will look for another provider if they decide to cancel this channel.
