Is VZ letting non-subscribers to HBO access to the Opening Celebration on Jan 18th

HBO is allowing open FREE access to this exclusive event to every person with cable or satellite on Jan 18, from 7-9 PM. I don't see anything on the VZ website that will allow non-subscribers to HBO access to this event. Does anyone know if VZ is going to allow it?

Unfortunately, it appears that HBO will only be showing taped highlights of the event in a 2-hour prime time slot. Too bad they aren't broadcasting the entire celebration live, similar to what networks like MTV and VH1 have done when they've broadcast day-long major charity concerts.

Philhu - can you post the message that you received? I am still not seeing anything about it.

They cut off the replay.  They did not cut off the live broadcast.

First of all, the replay is what Verizon promoted. They didn't say they would have the live feed on. Second, from what others have said, Verizon cut the first 15 minutes of the live feed. So either way, we got screwed!
