Haha I don't think FiOS will add TCN, since it's exclusive to Comcast.

TCN is not exclusive to Comcast. Any provider can carry it if they chose. We already have Comcast Sportsnet Philly. TCN is the only channel that will be carrying 10 or so Flyers and Sixers games this year. The reason I left Comcast for FiOS is that they had Comcast Sportsnet and I wouldn't miss the Phillies, Flyers and Sixers. Now Comcast is putting more games on their secondary channel. Verizon can carry it if they want.

Just wanted to add to my earlier post, that Fios already offers Comcast sports nw in SD in the Portland Oregon area.

Another vote for more (any?) Brazillian channels. Globo, PFC and Record are all available through Dish Network and I'm pretty sure Globo is available through DirecTV and Comcast (at least in some markets) as well. Verizon is the only major provider in my area that doesn't offer any Brazillian channels. I would love to consolidate everything with FiOS.
If I can only choose one, please bring Globo to FiOS TV.
Thanks.

Verizon can you help us?
"Season Opener – October 2
The Comcast Network will air “Flyers Pregame Live” at 6:30 p.m. followed by the high definition broadcast of the Flyers taking on the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m. “Flyers Postgame Live” will also air immediately after the game."
and game 2!
plus 8 others!

Please add BBC America in HD!
Also, Video on Demand for FOX and CW primetime shows would be wonderful.

The Trailblazers are the biggest sports draw around here and comcast has the rights to the broadcasts for the next several years. I heard that verizon did a survey in the area before they brought in Fios and like 60% of the people said they would change only if Comcast sports nw was availible.
I seriously doubt Verizon will be adding any "localized" channels in the North West. Verizon sold off the Washington state and Oregon markets to Frontier. Verizon will not be investing any more money up there. Likely you will have to wait for Frontier to finish taking the reigns from Verizon and then see if they will be adding any further channels.

I wouldn't hold my breath. No one else carries the Comcast Network, and I'm sure there's a reason...just like the reason Comcast put these games on TCN- so they can keep them and show them exclusively on Comcast.

Caps-
TCN is available to be picked up by any carrier - Comcast even "touts" that in a PR....as with anything there's a cost - and it may be steep for this one channel (I have no idea).
But, from what I was told, VZ toyed around with picking up CN8 the past 2 years for this same reason, but never followed through with it.
I'm hoping all of these posts push them a bit...

Hello -
New to FIOS TV. It's been about four days but I am loving it!!! ![]()
One quick question regarding local programming.
I noticed that the FOX Boston station, WFXT, is not on our system.
We have the Providence RI FOX affilate.
How do we go about requesting that the Boston station be added to our service in Easton MA.
Thanks,
Mike
