You are so woefully incorrect I can't even fathom where you're coming from.
There is a preponderance of news about the Verizon Net Neutrality Order and it's impact regarding the degradation of video streaming perfomance for FiOS subscribers and Netflix.
Take a look at the FiOS Internet Forum then get back to me.
You really should exercise some due diligence before posting such nonsense.
Oh Lordy..{please keep your posts courteous} DON'T tell me I can't get SuperHD from Netflix when I'm able to view it on a daily basis. (And I can even check the bit rate when I do.) As well as Dolby Digital Plus.
I'm well awate of the neutrality issues but that doesn't mean that users don't have access to 1080p from NF. (Heck, some people are even streaming Netflix 3D!!) Just because YOU can't doesn't mean others can't. Get a better, compatible device...otherwise, just keep listening to the rantings of Beck to remain ill-informed.

Yes to most. I actually have am even LOWER internet speed than you do and I still get 1080p (from an S790 BD player.). Unfortunately, I've heard that the PS3 doesn't support SuperHD From what I've been told, NF apparently is limited to 720p on the PS3, but it should support 3D. The PS4 however, does support SuperHD but not 3D! (Although owners are supposedly expecting a firmware update from Sony for the 3D). As I said at the outset, it depends on your device.

I can (and have) stream video from Netflix --> Verizon FiOS --> PS3 @ SD/720/1080 and Super HD provided Verizon will pass Super HD @ ~ 7 Mbps.
You should really take a look at some of the threads under the FiOS Internet Forum. There are many individuals having the same difficulty as me receiving HD video streams from Netflix due to their pay-to-play dispute w/Verizon.
The news regarding this issue is widely published on the Internet (see my links provided earlier).
I really don't understand why you insist this is not a wide spread problem when clearly it is?

I have a 10mps speed (Verizon's lowest) and I have no problem. And yes, I have heard that others are having issues. But if I can get it at such a low speed, at least some others should be able to as well..

For the $200 per month my Verizon FiOS Triple Play package costs, shouldn't I be able to stream video from Netflix at a 7 Mbps bit rate too?

I'd say absolutely. But (and I'm not 100% certain) I seem to remember that streaming services recommend a minimum of 10mps.

Oh brother
Why haven't you dropped Verizon and moved on to the DISH by now?
