I have two Samsung HD LED TVs, the A/V select menu goes away by itself on both after I use the Input button to select the desired input. On the 32" TV it takes maybe 5 seconds, on the 46" TV it takes about 10 seconds, no idea why the difference. Yours doesn't disappear automatically?
As far as I know there is no button on the Verizon remote that will cause the A/V menu on the Samsung to disappear, but since it goes away automatically on both TVs it is not an issue for me.
